2023 Important Election Dates For Voters & Candidates
ELECTION DATES FOR VOTERS
- May 1 – Last day to register for Easttown residents before the May 17th Primary. If you are not a U.S. citizen and a resident of Pennsylvania at least 30 days before the next election, you CANNOT register to vote.
- May 9 – Last day for Easttown residents to apply for a mail-in ballot or absentee ballot for May 17th Primary.
- May 16 – Last day for the Chester County Board of Elections to receive a civilian mail-in ballot or absentee ballot from an Easttown voter. Ballots must be received by 8PM. Voters should mail their mail-in ballot or absentee ballot at least two weeks before the May 17th Primary due to possible late deliveries by the US Postal Service.
- May 16 – PRIMARY ELECTION. Voting booths open from 7AM to 8PM.
- May 17 – First day to register after the May 18th Primary.
- May 23 – Last day for Chester County Board of Elections to receive voted military and absentee ballots for Primary election.
- October 23 – Last day to register before the November general election.
- October 31 – Last day to apply for a mail-in ballot or an absentee ballot.
- November 7 – Last day for the Chester County Board of Elections to receive a civilian mail-in ballot or absentee ballot from an Easttown voter. Ballots must be received by 8PM. Voters should mail their absentee ballot at least two weeks before the November 7th General Election due to possible late deliveries by the US Postal Service.
- November 7 – GENERAL ELECTION. Voting booths are open from 7AM to 8PM.
ELECTION DATES FOR CANDIDATES
- February 14 – First day to circulate and file nomination petitions for Primary.
- March 7 – Last day to circulate and file nomination petitions for Primary.
- March 8 – First day to circulate and file nomination papers for Primary.
- March 22 – Last day for withdrawal by candidates who filed notation petitions for Primary.
- May 18 – PRIMARY ELECTION. Voting booths are open from 7AM to 8 PM.
- August 1 – Last day to circulate and file nomination papers for General Election
- August 8 – Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated by nomination papers.
- August 14 – Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated at the General Primary.
- November 7 – GENERAL ELECTION. Voting booths are open from 7AM to 8PM.
